What Is Folk Rock?

Folk Rock is basically what the name states it is a mixture of Folk and Rock. The genre arose during the 1960's through the U.S.A and U.K. Lead by the Los Angela's band; The Byrds. Their music was unique because they were the first to combine folk and rock together thus creating Folk Rock. Most of their inspiration coming from British based bands such as The Beatles, Rolling Stones etc.
